forest story

I had a goal to draw an illustration on the theme of the forest, forest dwellers, forest atmosphere. I decided to draw an unusual concept of the world, where there are big bugs, animals, but small human-like inhabitants. They cherish their forest, use its gifts and fruits and live in harmony with nature. The big frog on the head of the main character adds humor to the illustration. To create a beetle pattern, I studied many varieties of large beetles and chose the most interesting elements for my own - a simple body shape supplemented with large horns and antennae, interesting iridescent shell color, large cute eyes and dexterous legs
